Al-Hilal coach Jorge Jesus has raised the question of what would happen to Al-Nassr if they lose their main superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, as he wanted to confirm that Al-Hilal are still on top despite the injury of Neymar.
“We lost Neymar and we continued with great quality in our game. What would it be like if Al-Nassr lose Cristiano Ronaldo, or Al-Ittihad lose Karim Benzema or Al-Ahli lose Riyad Mahrez?” he said after the victory against Al-Ahli, in statements brought by ESPN.
He added: “It was a great game between two great teams with great players and a fantastic atmosphere. This quality is important to show the strength of football in Saudi Arabia. Deserved victory against another candidate for the title”
He concluded: “The big teams play every three days, Al-Hilal is in that group. We are increasingly secure in defense. After eleven games we have nine wins and two draws, as happened in my first time here, in 2018/2019. Today some new players came in and Monday will be the same, we have to manage the squad”.
