France national team coach Didier Deschamps has revealed in the press conference that Al-Ittihad superstar midfielder N’Golo Kanté is on his plans for the next European Championship.
The French gaffer has dropped the main reason why he does not select the former Chelsea player in the qualifiers, even though he might count on him in The Euros.
“I did not change my position towards Kanté. My decision after the World Cup was to give time to the players who were there. I know that Kante plays regularly and they play a match there (Saudi Arabia) every 3-4 days. I am giving myself some time and I do not know what my thinking will be in May before the Euros.” he said.
He added: “I still consider Kanté available to be selected and to play with France, but the selection is currently for those who are less experienced because it is their time to gain experience before being on the final list. Kanté, like Pogba, has experience playing in major tournaments.”
