Al-Ahli star midfielder Gabri Veiga has opened up on what was going on in his mind after scoring the second goal against FC Barcelona, last season.
“You know what happens sometimes? That doesn’t give you time. Sometimes you don’t even have it left in your memory. Tension or nerves don’t let you remember it clearly. I remember putting that goal in, but then you do things you don’t even realize. It’s been a few days you can imagine, right? A tremendous joy. I sank as I got to the bench after the change… The hug that Dr. Cota gave me, that I love him very much… These are moments left forever. The ovation and everything. Seeing my family, my girlfriend, the supporters, my friends… it’s kind of hard to describe in words. Sometimes you’re lucky enough to live it and I’m lucky to have lived it.“
