Al-Hilal club captain Salman Al-Faraj has also confirmed in the post-game interview that the referee has not whistled at least one clear penalty kick in the AFC Champions League semi-finals second leg against Al-Ain.
“We congratulate Al-Ain Club, and wish them success in the final round. We apologize to the fans for bidding farewell to the AFC Champions League competition. We do not know how it happened. We did not appear in the desired manner in the first half, and we repeated the same mistakes in the first leg. There were errors by the referee of the match, like the first match. There were two penalty kicks that were not awarded to my team in today’s match.” he told SSC channels.
