Al-Ittihad have missed several chances to return to the 3rd or 4th place, who are qualifying for the AFC Elite League and AFC Champions League respectively.
The Tigers have now got another chance to get back to the 4th place, after the bog down of Al-Taawoun against Al-Riyadh, this Thursday.
Al-Ittihad would need to beat Al-Ettifaq, next Friday, to jump on the continental qualifying spot in the Saudi Professional League.
