Netting twice past the cross-city rivals, means that the Portuguese legend would reach his 35 league hit of the season and thus break the historical record of goals in one single season, previously set by Abderrazak Hamdallah (34).
Ronaldo would still once another game to do that, but his coach Luis Castro wants to rest the top players for the Saudi King’s Cup final in that game, so it’s better for him to end things quickly.
