Al-Ahli are reportedly being recommended the name of Stuttgart center-back Hiroki Ito, who has been able to lead his team to a 2nd place finish in the Bundesliga this season ahead of Bayern Munich.
Ito is a player who can operate in the heart of the backline, as well as a left-back and a defensive midfielder, and these are exactly the spots in which Al-Ahli are in lack of top options.
With the rule of foreigners that limits each club to 10 outlanders (including 2 born after 2003), such versatile foreigner players become even more valuable in the squad.
