Portugal national team Roberto Martinez has granted an exclusive interview to UEFA, in which he has expressed his surprise about how hungry Al-Nassr superstar striker Cristiano Ronaldo still is, despite his long footballing career full of titles and achievements.
“There aren’t many players who have accomplished what he accomplished. He is an example in many ways. Being the only player with more than 200 caps is something that is not easy to achieve. What surprised me about Cristiano is that he defies time. After each session, the technical staff and I are amazed to see that a player who has achieved everything, who could choose the efforts he puts into training, is motivated by victory, is obsessed by the fact of being the best, is obsessed with the perfection he wants to achieve in his career. And it’s contagious.“
