Al-Ahli defender Merih Demiral has expressed his joy after overcoming the injury that has forced him to undergo a surgery and remain on the sidelines for the majority of the first half of the campaign.
“I was away from the national team during my injury period. Of course, every player wants to play. Now I have overcome my injury and started playing, so I am very happy.” he said in the pre-match press conference before playing Austria.
